The Vermont Symphony Orchestra’s “Symphony Reel” String Trio will perform at Fayston School on March 11 at 8:45.  The day is made possible by generous support of the Fayston PTO.
“Symphony Reel” takes students on a unique journey though a range of musical styles, including classical and folk.  The musicians—cellist John Dunlop, violinist Laura Markowitz, and violist Ana Ruesink—are all veteran performers with the Symphony, and experienced educators as well.  The presentation ends with the creation of a unique folk tune for our school!
These performances are part of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra’s statewide SymphonyKids education program, which reached over 23,000 schoolchildren last year with 266 presentations serving 151 schools in 113 different communities. The VSO’s traveling ensembles visit all corners of the state as part of an outreach program known as the Lois H. McClure “Musicians-in-the-Schools” Program. These lively concerts are met with overwhelming enthusiasm, as the musical ambassadors spread the word that classical music can be fun!

Vermonte Carlo Night! Sign-up & Support Needed!

Vermonte Carlo Night 2016

Our annual Vermonte Carlo Night is set for April 2, 2016 at Mt. Ellen Lodge at Sugarbush Resort!  This event raises a significant amount of funds for our P.T.O. and goes directly to supporting opportunities such as the Artist-in-Residence, our mobile computer lab, playground improvements, additional books for the Library as well as Community Building events throughout the year.  All of this would not be possible without your support!  This event is made possible through the many volunteers that lend helping hands!  Below are a variety of ways for you to get involved!  Some ways are "behind the scenes" and some happen on the night of the event!  Your choice!  Sign up quickly!
